Utility and Functions
PURE serves the following utilities on the PurpleSeed platform:
The platform’s cross-game play-and-earn token: PURE is used as an in-game token of exchange for activities such as unlocking treasure troves, purchasing and upgrading assets like merchandise, weaponry, skins, and land during gameplay, and creating PvP or group challenges, among other potential future uses. PURE is a cross-game currency, which means players can use and earn PURE in game worlds across the PurpleSeed platform. This ensures our gamers can leverage its value across games and that its value isn’t subject to a single-point of failure like game or project specific tokens are.
Used for minting and transaction fees, and as a medium of exchange: Gamers use PURE to combine TroveStones to mint new Gen-2 and Gen-3 TroveMates, as well as to compose and enhance characters with other NFTs such as skins, powers, and accessories. PURE can be used as a medium of exchange between community members when they transact on the platform, facilitating trades or rewards for completing user-generated game challenges.
Allocates voting share: PURE ownership determines community member’s voting share in PurpleSeed governance proposals allowing them to have a voice in the direction of the platform. It plays a role in allocating user’s voting shares for upvoting or authenticating games that third-party developers bring to the platform and for voting on certain features or game-design elements developers may be soliciting feedback on.
Allows developers and brands to incentivize community members: Developers seeking to publish games on our platform will have access to our easy to use developer tools and blockchain-specific features, but they are also able to directly incentivize community participation in testing and providing input to their games with PURE. Developers will be able to offer TroveMate owners and community members an incentive to engage with their content and provide meaningful feedback, allowing them to make the best game possible before the community decides on whether the game is fully on-boarded to the platform. Brands will be able to promote products to the community via our in-game view-and-earn mechanism where PURE is allocated directly to gamers based on engagement.
