Gen-1 TroveMates

The first collection of 7,380 TroveMates are known as Genesis, or Generation-1 TroveMates. Each time a Gen-1 TroveMate is minted, one of the eight characters appears per the chance and rarity defined in the Type list. For example, the probability of minting a Maya is ~1/20, while the probability of minting a Fyrian is ~1/7.

Gen-1 TroveMates have unique value as they are the founding community of PurpleSeed. They give the initial right to mint all subsequent TroveMates via mining and burning of TSTs and provide access to all PurpleSeed games at each respective launch. The founding members can drive the expansion of our community as they list and sell TroveMates in the secondary marketplace, while potentially earning attractive returns on their fractional TST mining. Gen-1 TroveMates benefit from the highest rates of TST mining yield given the low initial supply, as well as free early Treasure Trove drops that include utility tokens and additional game-asset NFTs, a genesis-unique TroveMate crown that identifies them as a Genesis TM and potential additional future benefits. Gen-1 TroveMates enjoy early access when new games launch on our platform and have the potential for early-bird benefits, as well as priority for limited seat games that are launched in-house.

Gen-2 TroveMates

As Gen-1 TroveMate owners mine new TroveStones and burn them to mint TroveMates, the second generation of TroveMates starts to appear in our ecosystem. The claim rate of TST rewards and the burn rate of TSTs to mint new TroveMates determines the rate of growth of Gen-2 TroveMates over time. The 73,800th TroveMate will be the last Gen-2 TroveMate minted, marking a ten-fold growth of the entire TroveMate population.

Besides play-and-earn access and fraction mining, Gen-2 TroveMates retain the right to free periodic drops of Treasure Troves. New TroveMate types with varying rarity and characteristics will be introduced at this stage. The cost of minting a new TroveMate will remain relatively low, although Gen-2 owners will miss out on the Gen-1 unique crown and possibly miss out on the early and priority access benefits.

Gen-3 TroveMates

After the 73,800th TroveMate is minted, every remaining TroveMate that is minted is a third-generation. With continued access to platform games and fraction mining, owners of Gen-3 TroveMates might face a slightly higher cost of minting new characters and unlocking Treasure Troves. New sets of characters with a lower degree of rarity but a wider variety of potential characteristics will be introduced in Gen-3. It is our hope that these later generation TroveMates allow our community to continue to expand, bringing in more gamers to participate in the delightful gaming experience that our ecosystem facilitates.
